Thanks, Congrats + Suggestion re the Tale

by Robert Gibson
(Lancashire, England)

For some time I've had the intention to thank your Site for its generous coverage of my "New OSS" tales "Valeddom" and "Uranian Gleams", and my "Earth-emanation" Kroth trilogy - while at the same time not wishing to seem self-promoting under the guise of gratitude.

Now I can legitimately obtrude, as it were, to congratulate you on the collaborative Zendexor-Dylan tale, which is a pleasure to watch as it grows, while also of technical interest (with regard to writing as a craft) as you make use of the creative tension between two different contributors.

May I suggest a title for the tale? You could do well, I think, to give it a somewhat basic, alliterative title like for instance Hamilton's "Monsters of Mars" or Patrick Moore's "Mission to Mars". You could call it, simply, "Peril on Pallas". I bet that's the sort of title it would have had if it had surfaced in "Amazing Stories" round about 1935. Not too corny, really, if you bear OSS tradition in mind. What do you think, Dylan and Zendexor?

John Campbell Would Approve
by: Dylan

Hello again, Mr. Gibson! How are things at the Glope? Thanks for turning me on to this site, I owe ya. It's a fact, Zendexor, that I discovered your site after sending Mr. Gibson a fan email, to which he was kind enough to respond?

Also, I like your contribution to the tale. "Peril on Pallas" has a suitably nostalgic feel to it - I can see it on a magazine cover now. We'll just have to be sure to inject enough peril into the story to deliver on that promise!

I cannot speak for our Webmaster, but just as a fan, I would not be perturbed if you were to self-promote here! It's a site devoted to your kind of fiction, after all, and as Zendexor says, we need to "support the people who make the things we love". There's now a sections for "creations", perhaps short previews of your work could find a home there? Strictly for promotional purposes, of course, we wouldn't want you to give away your hard work for free.

Anyways, Peril on Pallas it is!

sounds good to me

Feedback from a published author at last! The ripples from the site are widening! "Peril on Pallas" sounds fine to me; I agree about the alliteration having a period flavour. Well, Dylan, what's your opinion?
